Michael Lee

Michael Lee, a former member of the Canadian Senior National field hockey team, enters his fourth year at the helm of the men's field hockey team. Lee boasts over 100 caps with Canada's national team and UVic is his first foray into coaching at the senior level.

The Tsawwassen native earned his first National Team cap in 2001, and has represented Canada at numerous international tournaments including the 2001 World Cup Qualifier, 2003 Pan American Games, and 2002 and 2006 Commonwealth Games. Lee also played one season for the Vikes in 1998-99.

Lee’s prior coaching experience has been in the junior ranks, most notably serving the previous two summers as head coach of the Boys Under-16 BC Provincial team. He also was involved with the Skill Sets program, beginning in 2004.

Lee recently completed his NCCP Level 3 Technical.
