SEATTLE - Julia Tschanz led a small UVic Vikes men's and women's track contingent at the UW Invitational with the sophomore placing third overall in the mile.

Tschanz crossed the line in 4:47.55, and teammate Brittany Therrien came in at 5:05.83 to place 23rd.

In the men's mile, Daniel Mallie finished 20th in 4:12.79.

Darren Mazzei placed ninth in the 800m (1:50.8), and was followed by Karl Robertson in 20th (1:55.7).

Next weekend the Vikes will compete at the Manitoba Indoor Games, being hosted at the Max Bell Fieldhouse.
