Evanecz shot a 12-over 300 through four days of competition at Antequera Golf Course. The Red Deer, Alta. native headed into the final round tied with Waterloo's Garret Rank as the low Canadian, but shot an 81 and fell out of the top 10. Evanecz's previous round scores were 73, 70, 76.
The tournament was won by Korea, despite a 1-2 finish from Spain on the individual leaderboard. Gerard Piris Mateau won the event at 7-under 281, followed by countryman Carlos Pigem Xammar.
The tournament was the second major in what promises to be a busy summer for Evanecz. Two weeks ago Evanecz lost in a playoff at the Golf Canada University Championship, placing second overall.
