FREDERICTON - UVic Vikes senior #Mitch Evanecz# lowered his tournament score to four-under, but play was suspended for a second straight day at the Golf Canada University Championships.

Evanecz (71, 72, 69) moved into a tie for second place, and sits two strokes behind tournament leader Phillipe-Andre Bannon of Universite de Montreal. However, final results from the third round are incomplete as play was suspended due to darkness.
With the men trying to squeeze in two rounds on Wednesday, as yesterday's competition was pushed back due to heavy rains, the competitors were called off the course at 8:56 p.m. (ADT). Of the men, 80 players finished their third round and 23 players have yet to complete their round.
The women completed their round and enter Thursday's final in second, and Anne Balser is tied for the individual title.
WOMEN'S ROUND THREE RECAP
All five of the Vikes men completed the third round, and UVic finished with a team score of 287 - the second best score of the completed teams. The Vikes are 20-over, while Laval Universite assumed the provisional lead at three-over.
Other Vikes competitors included #Sam Holland# (72, 75, 74) staying put at 19th, #James Holland# (77, 77, 71) enjoying his best round and moving to 39th, #Jordan Ediger# (76, 78, 73) in 48th, and #Steven Lane# (79, 77, 75) in 70th.
Play at Kingswood Park will resume at 7:00 a.m. (ADT), Thursday morning. The cut for the men's final will occur right at the conclusion of the third round, followed immediately by the final round.
