MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Fifth-year back Kapi Vataiki scored two tries this past weekend in the Vikes 50-32 victory over the Nanaimo Hornets. The victory pulled the Vikes up to an even record of 4-4 and now sit fifth in the BC Premier League standings. The Richmond native has scored a total of seven tries so far this season for the Vikes. Vataiki will need to continue his strong play into the second half as the Vikes will face the UBC Thunderbirds in their next game on Jan. 12 and the defending league champion UBCOB Ravens on Feb. 2.
