MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jake Newman was instrumental in the Vikes win over the Fraser Valley Cascades on Saturday night at CARSA. The fifth-year tallied a total of 23-points in the Vikes 78-75 win over the Cascades with many of his points coming late in the fourth quarter when Victoria needed them most. Newman’s three-point play late in the game proved to be pivotal in the Vikes come from behind victory. The Surrey native also recorded eight rebounds, one assist and two steals to go along with his team high 23-point performance.
