MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Third-year track athlete Josh Kozelj found himself on top of the podium this past weekend when he claimed a gold medal in the men’s 3000-m race at the Bison Classic in Winnipeg. Kozelj ran this race in a time of 8:45.48 while teammate Jonny Toombs was right behind with a time of 8:51.68 to claim the bronze. The Coquitlam native was named a Canada West Second Team All-Star this past fall for cross country and remains a threat to medal at the Canada West and U SPORTS Championships in the coming weeks.
