MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Arthur Firmino, a second-year masters student from Kitimat, B.C. has climbed to the top level of competition after just two years of competitive swimming. This past weekend at the Western Collegiate Invitational, Firmino qualified for the 50-m breaststroke event at the U SPORTS National Championships in Vancouver on Feb. 21-23. After originally missing the cut by just 0.05 seconds, Firmino made one final attempt to qualify at the end of the final day of competition and made the cut for 50-m breaststroke event by just 0.02 seconds
