FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Third-year Vike Danielle Hanus is bringing home four more U SPORTS National Championship medals after an outstanding weekend in Vancouver. A four-time medalist at last year’s national championships, Hanus doubled her U SPORTS medal count by winning a bronze in the 100-metre butterfly, silver in the 50 and 100-metre backstroke and finished off the final day of competition by defending her gold medal from 2018 in the 200-metre butterfly. To go along with her four medals, Hanus also broke five different records with her performances with the Vikes 4x100-metre medley, 4x100-metre freestyle and 4x200-metre freestyle relay teams.
