PORTLAND, Ore. - A strong team effort landed the UVic Vikes men's golf team a second place standing at the Cavaliers Classic at Heron Lakes Golf Course.

The Vikes combined for a team score of 899 in the 54-hole event to finish second behind Rocky Mountain College, who had a team score of 868.

#Jordan Ediger# and rookie #Sam Holland# both placed within the top 10, finishing in fifth and seventh place respectively. Ediger finished the tournament two-over 218 and was aided by a low round of 68 on Monday's nightcap.

Holland recovered from an opening round of 79 to card a six-over 222 in the tournament.

Justin Ahrens, of Northwest Christian, won the individual title at six-under 210.
