LA VETA, Colo. - Freshman #Sam Holland# was the UVic Vikes men's golf team's top finisher, placing 15th overall, in the opening tournament of the fall season.

Competing at the Wayland Baptist Peaks Classic, Holland carded a one-under par 71 in the third round to finish the 54-hole event at four-over 220.

#Jordan Ediger# was the Vikes next best competitor, tied for 38th place at 12-over. Senior #Steven Lane# came in 45th place at 14-over.

As a team, the Vikes placed 10th overall. The tournament was won by Colorado Springs.
