SAN DIEGO - #Jarred Callbeck#, a sophomore on the UVic Vikes men's golf team, tied for second overall at the Smee Builders Invitational and the Vikes placed third overall in the team standings.

Callbeck finished the three-round tournament tied for second on the individual leaderboard, carding a seven-over 220. The Victoria native and Claremont Sec. graduate was five strokes behind Point Loma Nazarene's Ryan Ellerbrock, who's low score helped his team to the tournament title.

The Vikes finished third in the team standings with a combined score of 904 at the Gary Player-designed Steele Canyon course. Point Loma Nazarene's team total was 881, and Wayland Baptist finished second at 901.

Other Vikes top performers included #Jordan Ediger# placing tied for 14th at 13-over 226, #Steven Lane# coming in 16th at 14-over 227, #Erik Swinburnson# shooting a 25-over 238 to place 40th, and #Chase Teron# finishing in 45th at 27-over 240.
