LETHBRIDGE - The Vikes men's soccer team shutout the Lethbridge Pronghorns 3-0 on the road today as #
Jordie Oberg# scored early and #
Andrew Ravenhill# pocketed two goals late in the second half. The Vikes improve their conference record to 2-2-1 and have been on the uphill since their opening weekend.
The Vikes will continue their road trip to square off with the Calgary Dinos tomorrow, Sept. 25, at 1:15 P.M. PDT.
Only three minutes into the game, the Vikes gained a 1-0 lead over the Horns. #
Bobby Eng# was credited the assist, as he crossed the ball into the six-yard box for Oberg to head perfectly into the bottom corner. Dictating the pace of the game early, the Vikes held the majority of posession in the first half.
Lethbridge did earn a few chances including a long range strike by
Shlomo Swan-Azman and a goal mouth scramble ensued by
Justin Marin but neither resulted in a goal for the Horns.
In the 81st minute of the game, Ravenhill stepped up and finished a shot hard into the corner to give the Vikes a 2-0 lead. With only two minutes remaining in the game, Ravenhill would mirror his first goal and help the Vikes to the 3-0 victory. Vikes goalkeeper #

The Vikes are now undefeated in their last three games and will look to continue their streak against the Dinos tomorrow.
