VICTORIA- The University of Victoria women's rugby team will travel to Vancouver to play their final game of the Canada West season against the UBC Thunderbirds on Oct. 4 at 1:00 p.m. in Vancouver.
Following their opening three matches the Vikes are still on the hunt for their first win. This past weekend, Sept. 28-28, the Vikes lost to the defending CIS national champions, the Alberta Pandas, on Friday and were edged by the Lethbridge Pronghorns on Sunday. Hope were high in the Sunday match up as the Lethbridge Pronghorns have also conceded losses to Alberta and UBC. The Vikes were in the lead for the majority of the game but the Pronghorns came back from behind late in the game to snatch their very own first win of the season.
In second place in the standings, the T-Birds have already qualified for the Canada West playoffs with their win over the Pronghorns last week. Despite their guaranteed berth UBC will look to bounce back from a 31-7 loss to Alberta last weekend, Sept. 28.
Second year and fly-half

The Canada West play-offs will be hosted in Calgary from Oct. 17-19. The top four in the five-team conference, including the Dinos, will qualify for the post-season.
