VICTORIA, B.C. - University of Victoria Vikes new and old had a strong presence at this past weekend's Canada West XVs women's rugby trial camp hosted at Shawnigan Lake School. Among the 38 women's rugby players named to the participating roster were former Vikes Chelsea Minter and Randi Hunter, while recently graduated Laura Crowe-Hutchon and current Vikes Jess Neilson, Julia Folk and Tiffany Picketts were also present.

Vikes women's rugby coaching staff Brittany Waters, head coach and former Vike, as well as Barbara Mervin and Julianne Zussman, current Vikes assistant coaches, were also in attendance at the camp. 

Alberta will be hosting the Super Series set for later this summer and this event will include four of the Top-6 World Ranked teams including Canada, New Zealand, USA and World Cup winners England. Canada's team selections will happen at the end of May.
