Box Score Ottawa, Ont. – The University of Victoria men's soccer team claimed their spot in the consolation final at the U SPORTS championship after a 3-2 (3-1 SO) win over Saint Mary's University, Nov. 19.
HOW IT HAPPENED
15th Minute – SMU 1, UVic 0
- Saint Mary's would take the early lead, scoring on their first legitimate chance of the game.
33rd Minute – UVic 1, SMU 1
- On a run towards the goal, Sergio Duran tapped the ball over to Isaac Koch, who sent it past the Huskies' goalkeeper for the equalizer.
52nd Minute – UVic 2, SMU 1
- Receiving the ball from Jack Hill, Koch slotted it in to the far post to notch the brace and give the Vikes' the lead.
85th Minute – UVic 2, SMU 2
- In an effort to stop the oncoming attack, Jared Perras ventured out towards the oncoming attacker near the top of the box. However, the attack was able to get around Perras before he could make the stop, opening the net for Saint Mary's to equalize.

WORTH NOTING
- Perras made his second start of the season for the Vikes, and appeared in his first collegiate shootout.
- Koch notched his third brace of the season in the win, with his last two coming Oct. 8-9 at Trinity Western.
- After falling to Montreal by way of shootout a day ago, the Vikes were able to turn the tables in their favour and defeat the Huskies.
- Victoria edged the Huskies in total shots on the day, nine-to-six, while both sides finished with five shots on target.
