Women's rugby heads to UBC for final Canada West regular season matchup

VICTORIA - The University of Victoria women's rugby team closes the 2023 Canada West regular season with a trip to the University of British Columbia, Oct. 14.

NEWS & NOTES

The Vikes enter the final matchup of the regular season with a 3-1 record, holding second place in the conference standings.
UBC is 4-0 and in first place going in to the weekend.
Victoria and UBC met once already this season, with the Thunderbirds taking a 29-12 win over the Vikes at Wallace Field in the season-opener, Sept. 9.
Maggie MacKinnon leads the Vikes with 38 points on the season, coming via a team-high 14 converts and two tries through four matches.
Maelle Reed, Ella O'Regan, Olivia Newsome, and Justine Blatt-Janmaat are tied for most tries on the team with four each. 13 different Vikes have registered tries this season.
