NEWS & NOTES

• A round-robin tournament format, the Vikes will take on Trinity Western, Alberta and Calgary on Saturday, followed by UBC and Lethbridge on Sunday. Teams will then play one final match in a consolation or medal game Sunday afternoon based on their record from pool play.
• The Vikes opened the 2024 7s season at Alberta, posting a 4-0 record to start the year following wins over Alberta, Calgary, Lethbridge, and UBC.
• Trinity Western will host the second stop of the Canada West season, Feb. 7-8, while the Vikes will host the third and final stop at Wallace Field, March 1-2.
• The Vikes finished as conference runners-up in 2024, going 12-2 for the Canada West silver medal. Victoria also finished as national runners-up in one season ago, going 4-1 at the national championship to claim the silver medal finish and finish the season at 16-3 overall.
