Â
Last Week Recap:
- The Vikes return from Vancouver with a 1-1 tie (with bonus shootout win) and a 2-0 win to take sole possession of first place in the Canada West standings.
- In the first game, UBC struck as the Thunderbirds fired a shot through defensive traffic finding the back of the net. The Vikes then turned up the heat offensively earning a penalty corner. On a deflected ball, Molly Harris used her hand-eye coordination to bat the ball out of the air and into the net, tying the game at 1 each. UBC tested Anais Chace with multiple set plays but her solid play kept the game deadlocked.
- In the second game, it was 0-0 until with only five minutes left to play, the Vikes broke out of their own end on the counterattack. Sadie Lee capped off the rush as she tipped a cross past the Thunderbirds' goalie to break the tie.
- Shortly after the Vikes took a 1-0 lead, Jaden Dawson scored a second Vikes' goal to seal the road victory. Her goal came as Josie Dunham picked off a pass in the offensive zone. She then slid a pass to Dawson who put home the dagger.
- Anais Chace picked up her third shutout of the season, earning her CW BioSteel Player of the Week honours. She had many crucial saves down the stretch in this match, closing the door on all the Thunderbirds' scoring attempts.
- Looking ahead, the Vikes are 2-0 this season and 8-0-2 in their last 10 matchups against the Dinos.

Last Week Recap:
- The Vikes return home from their roadtrip to Alberta with a 3-1 win over the Lethbridge Pronghorns and a 2-1 loss to the Calgary Dinos.
- Against the Pronghorns, in the dying seconds of the first half, a Vikes' corner led to a scrum in front of the Pronghorns' net. Alex Moody was able to put home a shot amidst the crowd. This was his first goal of the season and put the Vikes ahead 1-0 before halftime.
- In the 52nd minute, the Pronghorns tied the game at 1-1. The goal came as the ball was crossed into the box and led to a quick pass and shot which found the back of the net.
- On a rush, Matthew Pearse danced through Pronghorns' defenders and blasted a shot past the keeper to put the Vikes back in front.
- Off a boot by Callum Weir the ball soared the length of the pitch, taking a high bounce off the turf and over the head of the Pronghorns' goalie. Yassin Guitouni was there to capitalize on the misplayed ball and put the game out of reach, securing the 3-1 victory for the Vikes.
- Sunday against the Dinos, off a corner from Connor Legge, Yassin Guitouni rushed to the front post and headed the ball past the keeper. The early goal pushed the Vikes out to an early lead in the 8th minute of the game.
- On a long through ball, Calgary was stopped on their first striking attempt, but the rebound bounced back out for a point-blank shot. On this attempt the Dinos were successful in finding the back of the net.
- A Dinos' defender fed a long stretch pass to a streaking forward who only had the goalie to beat, and he make no mistake. The Dinos took their first lead of the game 2-1.
- Both teams had several scoring chances in the second half but both goaltenders stood tall turning away each one. The Vikes made a push for a tying goal late in game but had their efforts blocked by the Dinos' defenders.
- The Vikes have a history of success against UBC Okangan and Thompson Rivers with winning streaks of six and five respectively.
