Calgary, A.B. – The University of Victoria women's field hockey team swept the weekend series as they won 3-0 over the University of Calgary Dinos, Sept. 14 at Hawkings Field.
Chace remains perfect while the Vikes score three
- The Vikes opened the scoring early as Sadie Lee buried the give-and-go rush in the 6th minute of the game.
- Building on her performance from yesterday, Libby Hogg continued the offensive pressure as she found the back of the net in the 25th minute, her third goal in two games.
- Adding to the 2-0 lead, Molly Harris contributed a goal of a her own, tipping in a penalty corner, extending the Vikes' lead to 3-0.
- Anais Chace dominated in her second straight shutout; she is yet to allow a goal on the season.
With the win, the Vikes move to 2-0 while the Dinos fall to 0-4 on the season.
The Vikes will be back in action on the road next Saturday, Sep. 20, against the University of British Columbia.
