VICTORIA, B.C. – Three University of Victoria field hockey players have been recognized among the conference's best, with
Maeve Connorton,
Sadie Lee and
Lydia Harrington earning Canada West All-Star honours, the conference announced Oct. 27.
Connorton closes out an outstanding Vikes career with her fifth Canada West All-Star selection. The Victoria product and 2025 U SPORTS All-Canadian has been a cornerstone of the Vikes midfield throughout her career, combining elite playmaking ability with a strong defensive presence. A consistent leader on the field, Connorton has been instrumental in linking play and creating opportunities while matching up against the opposition's top players.
Lee earns her second career Canada West All-Star nod after another strong offensive season. The third-year forward from Vancouver finished the regular season tied for second in conference scoring with six points and continued to establish herself as one of the league's most dangerous attacking threats.
A proven goal scorer, Lee played a key role in the Vikes offence and will return next season as part of a talented young core.
Harrington, meanwhile, made an immediate impact in her rookie season. The first-year defender from Vancouver stepped into a prominent role on the Vikes back line after several veteran defenders graduated and quickly established herself as a dependable presence at centre back.
Tasked with filling the void left by former All-Canadians, Harrington showed poise beyond her years and became a key part of the Vikes' defensive unit.
The trio helped lead the Vikes through the 2026 Canada West season and now turn their attention to rebuilding and getting back on top of the conference next season.
