Lethbridge, AB – The University of Victoria golf teams turned in a pair of podium finishes at the Canada West Championship, with both the men's and women's teams winning bronze and Cindy Koira and Owen Croft earning individual podium results at Paradise Canyon Golf Course.

Croft and Koira led the Vikes with standout performances.

• Owen Croft finished as the men's individual silver medalist at 5-under par after rounds of 71 and 66. His second-round 66 was one of the lowest rounds of the championship and vaulted him into contention for the title as he led for most of the second round.
• Cindy Koira earned bronze on the women's side, carding rounds of 74 and 75 to finish at 7-over par.
• With these impressive finishes by Koira and Croft, the pair each earned Canada West First Team All-Star honours.
•  Three Vikes finished inside the top 16 in the men's field, with Solomon Decksheimer tying for 11th and Parker Riou tying for 16th.
• On the women's side, Brynne Davies and Antonia Ho both finished tied for 12th.

Victoria climbed the leaderboard with strong second-round performances.

• The men's team played under a five-count-four format, resulting in the team posting a total gross score of +14, securing the bronze medal by six shots.
• The women's squad competed under a five-count-three format and comfortably finished third with a gross score of +45, winning bronze.

The Vikes will return to competition on Oct. 17-19 at the BC Match Play Series #1, hosted by UBC Okanagan in Kelowna, B.C.
