The Vikes have a tradition of excellence both on and off the field and each year Academic All-Canadian distinction is presented to varsity athletes who maintained a grade-point average of over 6.6 (an A equivalent) in the previous academic year. In the instance of CIS sports, student-athletes were also recognized as CIS Academic All-Canadians.All-Canadians are recognized each year at a special Honour Roll luncheon presented by Freedom 55 Financial.
The Vikes student-athlete with the highest academic average is annually recognized at the Vikes Athletics Awards Banquet with the Provost’s Award for Excellence.
