Why your support matters
The UVic sailing club is a student-run team committed to making the sport of sailing accessible, affordable, inclusive, and competitive. By owning and maintaining our fleet of nine Flying Junior (FJ) sailboats, we remove financial and equipment barriers that often limit participation, allowing students of all backgrounds and skill levels to get on the water.
For over a decade, we’ve offered skill-building lessons, a junior varsity program, and a competitive varsity race team—creating pathways for everyone, from first-time sailors to national-level athletes. Our mission is to break down barriers and provide opportunities for skill development, competition, and leadership while building a positive, ambitious community.
