Why your support matters
The UVic Dance Team is a passionate group of student-athletes dedicated to representing the University of Victoria through performance, competition, and community engagement. We train multiple days each week to develop technical skills, enhance performance quality, and showcase school spirit at varsity games and local events.
As a newly competitive team, we’ve already earned first-place finishes and awards such as Outstanding Studio Spirit and Most Entertaining at provincial competitions. Our members come from diverse dance backgrounds, bringing creativity and strength to every performance. Together, we strive to foster a culture of inclusivity, teamwork, and excellence both on and off the stage.
However, as a self-funded club, our athletes cover costs for studio rentals, choreography, uniforms, travel, and competition entry fees. These expenses can add up quickly, creating financial barriers for students balancing academics and training. Your support helps us continue to grow, perform, and represent UVic with pride.
