Bryan Carbery

Bryan Carbery assumes the role of advisor  for the 2013-14 season after heading the Vikes men's and women's golf programs for the past 15 years.

Carbery coached the men's squad to RCGA titles in 2003, 2005 and 2006. In 2007, the women's team captured their first-ever championship at Victoria's Cordova Bay Golf Course. The victory was especially sweet as Vikes senior Christina Spence-Proteau became the first back-to-back individual title winner. In 2009-10 Vikes standout Anne Balser won a four-hole playoff to be crowned Golf Canada University Champion.

Carbery was named three times to the coaching staff for Canada's entry in the FISU World University Championships. Carbery served as an assistant at the 2006 championship in Torino, Italy and was head coach for the Canadian FISU Golf team at the 2007 games in Thailand and the 2008 games in Sun City, South Africa.

Prior to taking the head coaching position with the Vikes, Carbery served as a teaching professional at the Valley Ridge Golf Club in Calgary. The Victoria native was also an acting assistant professional at both Uplands and Quilchena Golf Club.
