Sya Trafford was born June 2nd, 1995 in Calgary, AB ... she has 2 siblings: Sam, who played rugby at UVic, and Charlie, who is a member of the Canada men's national soccer team ... Sya is  entering her 5th year at the University of Victoria where she plays varsity rugby ... she is majoring in Commerce with a specialization in Entrepreneurship.  Honours at UVIC:  as a second year: Gold medalist at Las Vegas 7s invitational with UVic Rugby, Silver medalist at National University 7s with UVic Rugby   as a third year: Vikes Honour Roll, CanWest Gold Medalist with UVic Rugby  as a fourth year: CanWest Silver Medalist with UVic Rugby
