MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Fourth-year fly Gradyn Bowd had a game to remember on Jan.26 against the Capilano RFC. Bowd scored four tries and kicked nine conversions to score 38 points by himself, leading the Vikes to a 83-31 victory over the Caps. The Red Deer native has been a mainstay in the Vikes backline all season long and is a constant threat with his boot, legs and vision on the pitch. Bowd has represented Canada with both the U-20 and Senior programs and spent last summer with the Prairie Wolfpack competing at the Canadian Rugby Championships. With a 5-5 record, Victoria will continue to rely heavily on Gradyn as they continue to try and climb up the BC Premier League standings and secure a playoff spot
