Eric Hedlin, an Engineering student from San Diego, California, broke a pair of records at the U SPORTS Swimming Championships in Sherbrooke, Quebec, over the weekend. The second-year Vike won the 400-metre freestyle on Saturday, breaking Olympian Ryan Cochrane’s school record with a time of 3:45.07, before shattering a 25-year-old U SPORTS 1,500-metre freestyle record with a time of 14:42.99 on his way to a second gold medal on Sunday.
