MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Second-year men’s rower Alec Stapff captained the Vikes at this past weekends Elk Lake Spring Regatta in Victoria, B.C. Stapff’s captain duties were instrumental in leading the Vikes both in and out of the water as he played a large role in the organization of the event. Born in Perth, the Australian raced with Travis Gronsdahl in the pair and finished as the 2^ndoverall university boat. Stapff also raced in the men’s four and eight event where the Vikes finished as the top university in the men’s four category. The University Victoria rowing team welcomed several national team boats to this event and the Vikes recorded several strong results throughout the weekend as they prepare for the Brown Cup at the end of March.
