FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Fourth-year women’s basketball player Morgan Roskelley had a season high 17-point performance in the Vikes do or die Canada West playoff game last Friday night against the Fraser Valley Cascades. Morgan sank a couple of key three point shots down the stretch and helped the Vikes put the game out of reach from the visiting Cascades. In 18 minutes of game time, the Victoria native shot 78-percent from the floor which included making three of her four shots from beyond the arc. The Vikes will now move onto a best-of-three Canada West quarterfinal series against the Regina Cougars starting Thursday Feb.14 in Saskatchewan.
