MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Fourth-year Eric Hedlin continued his dominance in the men’s 1500-metre freestyle event at this past weekends U SPORTS national swimming championships in Vancouver. Already the owner of two gold and one silver medal in the event, Hedlin once again captured the gold this weekend and in the process broke the U SPORTS record with a time of 15:34.16. The 2016-17 University of Victoria Athlete of the Year now holds a total of five U SPORTS medals and five Canada West medal in his already highly decorated career with the Vikes
