MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Second-year forward Ian Whibley proved to be the main source of offence for the Vikes men’s soccer team at this past weekends Keg Spring Cup tournament, scoring two of the Vikes three goals. Victoria defeated the Fraser Valley Cascades by a score of 2-1 on Mar. 23 but ultimately fell to their mainland rivals from UBC in the tournament final, 3-1 on Sunday Mar. 24. The mechanical engineering major tallied five goals during the 2018 Canada West season, second on the team behind rookie all-star Matteo Ventura.
