VICTORIA – Despite edging the Lethbridge Pronghorns 1-0 on Saturday afternoon, the three points were not enough to send the UVic Vikes women's soccer team to the postseason, with Saskatchewan upsetting no. 10 UBC.

The Vikes went into Saturday's match with 15 points, needing a weekend sweep and some help to secure a playoffs berth.
Saskatchewan had other ideas, however, downing UBC 1-0 in Saskatoon. With one game left in the regular season, the win leaves both the Huskies and T-Birds tied with 22 points, four points ahead of the Vikes in the standings. It was the first time since 2001 the Vikes have not qualified for playoffs.
Back at Centennial Stadium, the Vikes performed under pressure, outshooting the Pronghorns 27-6. #
