VICTORIA – The UVic Vikes women's soccer team welcomes the Fraser Valley Cascades in their home opener this weekend, and they will be sporting pink jerseys to raise awareness for breast cancer.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Vikes will have a remarkably different look when they take to the field for their home opener on Saturday when they don pink jerseys to help raise awareness for breast cancer. Admission to the game will be free for anyone wearing pink, or by making a donation to the CIBC run for the cure. A flag raising ceremony will take place at half time to mark the start of the fundraising initiative.
SCOUTING THE VIKES
The Vikes opened their 2010 campaign with 1-1 draws against Manitoba and Regina before downing Fraser Valley 3-1 last week in Abbotsford. Offence came from four different sources with rookies #

SCOUTING THE CASCADES
Since posting a 1-0 shutout against Manitoba back in week one, the Cascades slipped to 1-2 allowing four goals in two games. Danielle de Bruin and Megan Webster have each scored for the Cascades. The last time Fraser Valley traveled to the Island, goalkeeper Chantelle Biagioni made nine saves to hold the Vikes to a 0-0 draw.
