Last weekend, the Vikes extended their unbeaten streak to four after tying Calgary 1-1 and defeating Lethbridge 5-1. All six goals were scored by different athletes, highlighting the depth on head coach #Tracy David#'s squad. The Vikes were without veterans #Brigitte Greig# and #Sarah Clark# but the presence of national squad member #Jaclyn Sawicki# made a huge impact. Sawicki dominated the first half of the Sunday game, creating several chances for the Vikes and assisting the first two goals.

The #4 CIS-ranked Trinity Western Spartans are currently on a six-game winning streak after defeating the Manitoba Bisons 4-1 on Sunday, Oct. 2. Melissa Mobilio scored two goals to help her team to first place in Canada West with a 6-1-0 record. TWU head coach, Graham Roxburgh, leads the Spartans along with veterans Kristen Funk, in goal, Daniela Gerig, Tessa Meyer and Mobilio.

The UBC Thunderbirds are currently seventh in the CIS and third in the Canada West standings with a 5-1-1 record after Canada West player of the Week, Janine Frazao, scored a hat trick against the Regina Cougars.
