VICTORIA – The University of Victoria Vikes varsity teams will be holding a Cancer Beatdown on Thursday Feb. 17 from 12-2 p.m. in front of Biblio Café, located at the McPherson Library at the University of Victoria.

To raise funds for the annual Shoot For A Cure initiative – a nationwide fund-raiser organized by CIS women's basketball coaches and athletic departments - donations will be collected in return for swings to smash a used car, donated for the event.

The Vikes Department of Athletics and Recreation would like to thank Wade's Auto Wrecking for the donation of a vehicle for this event, as well as UVic Student Affairs and Campus Security for their support of this event.
