For the Bobcats, Jordan Reaves led the way with 10 points as the home team was held two eight points in each of the final two quarters. Brandon struggled to find the hoop as they were held to 31 per cent from the field despite having only 14 turnovers to Victoria's 19.

The Vikes got off to a good start gainin as much as six-point lead in the opening frame. McLaughlin had eight of the Vikes' first-quarter points as Victoria edged Brandon 21-16 entering the second quarter.

Brandon did well to keep pace with the experienced visitors driving the hoop and putting up six points in the paint but four three-point shots by the Vikes silenced any efforts by the home team. Victoria grabbed a 42-34 lead entering half time.

In the second half the Vikes maintained good possession to go on and out-score Brandon 21-8 and 14-8 in the final two frames. The Bobcats continued to try their luck from beyond the arc but went 4-for-20 on the night and were unable to keep strides with the Vikes.
