Kamloops, BC—The first year struggles continue for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men's soccer team as they fell 4-0 to the University of Victoria Vikes in Canada West soccer action Sept. 20 at Hillside Stadium in Kamloops.
The WolfPack are now 0-3-1 in regular season play while Victoria won both their games this weekend and find themselves with a record of 3-1-0.
The Vikes opened the scoring six minutes in as third-year midfielder Cameron beat WolfPack keeper Travis Froehlich with a low shot.
Victoria went up by two before the first half was over thanks to a distance finish from Stokes. Stokes capitalized on a turnover by the WolfPack defence and drilled a shot past Froehlich for his third goal of the season.
In the second half a foal off a free kick resulted in Victoria's third marker. Third year
Dominic Colantonio put away did the honours and his shot beat the Thompson Rivers wall and went straight into the net at the 65
th minute mark.
The Vikes rounded out the scoring in the 80th minute off a free kick by fourth year
Craig Gorman. The ball wound up on the foot of six-foot-two strike
Michael Baart, who put it in the far side of the WolfPack cage. It was the rookie's team-leading fourth goal of the season.
Victoria outshot Thompson Rivers 23-10 in the contest including boasting a 14-4 record in the second half.
 "(Thompson Rivers) were a power house at the college level," commented
Bruce Wilson, Vikes men's soccer head coach. "There are some very good kids in the Interior. They certainly will be a force in this league over time as well."
The Vikes will visit Prince George and UNBC next week on Sept. 27-28.
