VICTORIA, B.C. – The University of Victoria Vikes men's basketball team finished off their two-game appearance at the Eastern Oregon hosted Quinn Classic winless as the Vikes were downed 88-59 by the College of Idaho Coyotes on Oct. 31. The loss brings the Vikes' pre-season to an end, ultimately finishing with a 2-6 record, while gaining valuable minutes to tune up their new-look squad.

Justin Kinnear impressed for Victoria scoring a team-high 17 points and also adding seven rebounds.
Grant Sitton put up 12 points and four rebounds as the only other double-digit scorer for the Vikes.
College of Idaho were led in scoring by four players in double digits. Joey Nebeker put up a game-high 18 points, while team mate Aitor Zubizarreta had 17. Dominique Jordan chipped in with 14 points and Jalyn Turner added 14. Spiros Tarlas had a game-high 14 rebounds as the Coyotes shot 67 per cent from the field.
The Vikes were led defensively with Kinnear's seven rebounds as College of Idaho out-rebounded Victoria 43-37. The Vikes shot 39 per cent from the field but conceded 18 three-pointers to the Coyotes.
College of Idaho had their largest lead, by 38, in the second quarter and continued that tear all the way to an 88-59 final score.
The Vikes will now prepare for the opening of their Canada West season next weekend, Nov. 6-7, in Langley against the Trinity Western Spartans. Regular season games will be available online with live video and stats by pay-per-view at
