VICTORIA – Fresh off of a two-week long break the UVic Vikes men's rugby club is back in action this Saturday, Oct. 14 for a game against the Meraloma Athletic Club at 2:30 p.m. on Wallace Field.
 
Both teams are 1-3 on the season but the Vikes occupy eighth spot in the BC Premier League standings thanks to claiming a bonus point in all four of their games.
 
The 'Lomas are two spots back of the Vikes in tenth place.
 
The last time these two teams met in the Premier League was in the 2013-14 season and it was the Vikes coming out victorious in the two games the that the teams played, defeating the team from Vancouver by scores of 43-13 and 29-5.
 
Last Time Out
 
The Vikes claimed their first win of the season two weeks ago, with a 51-37 victory over the Nanaimo Hornets. The defence in the second half was the story of the game for the team as they only allowed Nanaimo to score eight points in the second frame.
 
Meraloma dropped a 45-15 decision to Seattle the last time they were in action two weekends ago.
