- Victoria's men's basketball team was ranked second in the first U SPORTS Top 10 poll of the year, while UFV's women's team is ranked ninth in the first edition of the Top 10 poll.
- Opening against Calgary, Nov. 3-4, the Vikes men posted a 122-87 win in game one followed by an 88-79 loss in game two to the Dinos, while the Vikes women fell 78-42 and 83-60 over two games.

- Abigail Becker and Karis de Paiva lead the Vikes women's team in points per game at 11.5 and 8.0, respectively, with Brooklyn White leading the team with a 9.5 rebounds per game average.Â
- Earning Canada West Player of the Week honours to start the year, Diego Maffia holds a conference-leading 34.5 points per game average through two games. Shadynn Smid and Sergio Pereira lead the Vikes in rebounds, each with an 8.5 rebounds per game average after the first two games.Â
