- Entering the weekend ranked as the No. 1 team in the nation in the latest U SPORTS Top 10 rankings, the Vikes men's basketball team is ranked first for the second time this season, with the previous No. 1 ranking coming at the end of the 2006 season.
- The Vikes are coming off sweeps of Thompson Rivers University, Jan. 27-28, with the women notching 71-45 and 64-48 wins and the men picking up 96-59 and 83-74 victories over the WolfPack.
- After two-win weekends, the Vikes men sit at 14-2 on the season while the women hold a 7-9 mark.
- Holding first-place rankings in U SPORTS, the Vikes men's team's 95.1 points per game average is the best in the nation, while Diego Maffia's 23.7 points per game average ranks first in the country.
- Dominick Oliveri's 12.6 rebounds per game average leads Canada West and ranks second in U SPORTS.
- On the women's side, Ashlyn Day leads the Vikes and ranks third in the conference with a 19.4 points per game average, while Brooklyn White's 8.5 rebounds per game figure leads Victoria.
- With the regular season winding down, the Vikes look to be one of the top 12 teams in the conference to earn a postseason bid. The men currently rank second in the league while the women hold 11th place.
