Four Vikes named Canada West All-Stars

VICTORIA - Four members across the University of Victoria men's and women's basketball teams have received Canada West All-Star honours, the conference announced today, Feb. 24.

Canada West First Team All-Star

Diego Maffia

Led U SPORTS with a 24.9 points per game average in league play.
Recorded a career-high 42 points vs. UBC, Feb. 11.
Has started all 21 games for the Vikes so far this season, averaging 25.1 minutes of play per game.
Canada West Player of the Week, Jan. 17 & Feb. 14.
U SPORTS Athlete of the Week Jan. 18 & Feb. 15.
Canada West Second Team All-Star selection in 2021-22.

Ashlyn Day

Led the Vikes with an 18.7 points per game average.
Started all 21 games for the Vikes, averaging 30.4 minutes per game.
Recorded a season-high 35 points versus UNBC, Jan. 14.

Dominick Oliveri

Ranked third in the nation with a 12.7 rebounds per game average.
Started all 21 games for the Vikes, averaging 28.7 minutes per game and 8.0 rebounds per game.
Has six double-doubles on the season.

Renoldo Robinson

Has played in all 21 games for the Vikes so far this season, making 10 starts.
Holds a 15.0 points per game average over 23.0 minutes per game.
Recorded a season-high 27 points against UNBC, Jan. 14.
