Abbotsford, B.C. - The University of Victoria men's soccer team fell in its final contest of the Canada West regular season on the road to the University of the Fraser Valley, 2-1, Oct. 20.

Zaharia puts the Vikes in front
- The Vikes got on the board first. After the ball bounced around inside the 18, Jag Zaharia was able to connect for his first goal of the season to put the Vikes in front, 1-0, in the 73rd minute.
Cascades respond with two goals in two minutes to win it
- UFV scored in the 75th and 77th minutes to take a 2-1 lead and claim the win.
WORTH NOTING
- Jag Zaharia's goal marked his first of the year.
- Matthew McConnach recorded four saves for the Vikes in net.
- Though UFV finished with 12-9 edge in shots, the Vikes had the 8-6 advantage in shots on goal.
- The Vikes finish the Canada West regular season with a 9-2-4 record, securing the second seed in the pacific division for the playoffs.
