Burnaby, B.C. – The University of Victoria men's rowing team closed the Western Canadian University Rowing Championships with 14 podium finishes, Oct. 5 on Burnaby Lake.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
DiPompeo, Ferraro medal twice

• Giancarlo DiPompeo captured a gold medal in the lightweight 1x with a time of 7:24.726, and also won a silver medal with Louis Ferraro in the lightweight 2x, clocking in at 6:58.720.
• Ferraro added a bronze medal in the lightweight 1x with a time of 7:49.191 for his second medal of the day.

Caryk, Storey earn 2- gold

• Michael Caryk and Quinn Storey captured first place in the 2- race, finishing in 7:12.746 for the gold medal.

Hubbard, Bartel go 2-3 in the 1x

• Andrew Hubbard and Kai Bartel claimed the 1x silver and bronze medals with times of 7:42.640 and 7:56.345, respectively. 
• Both Hubbard and Bartel were also part of the 8+ boat along with Quinn McCoy, Victor Lefebvre, Quinn Storey, Michael Caryk, Conor Dillon, Dominik Crnjak, and Sascha Jansen-Rudan that captured the silver medal with a time of 6:02.320.

Vikes take silver in the lightweight 4+ 

• The Vikes lightweight 4+ crew of Oliver Howard Batek, James Gemmill, Connor Davis, Max Schiller, and Josie Roelofs clocked in at 7:03.551 to take the silver medal in the event.
