- The Vikes men are 5-0 against Fraser Valley in the last five meetings, with four of the last five taking place in Abbotsford, B.C. Meeting the first weekend of the year in Victoria, Nov. 2, the Vikes came away with a 91-65 win over the Cascades.
- On the women's side, UFV is 5-0 against the Vikes in the last five meetings. Battling to the end during the season-opening weekend, the Vikes ultimately fell to the Cascades, 57-52.

- The Vikes men are 6-0 on the year, sitting at the top of the Canada West Pacific Division standings. The Vikes are also ranked No. 1 in the latest U SPORTS Top 10 poll for the third-straight week entering the weekend, holding the top spot after posting a pair of wins over No. 2 UBC, 93-80 and 91-81, Nov. 15-16 in Vancouver.
- The Vikes women are 3-3 on the season, and look to bounce back after a pair of losses to the then-No. 3-ranked Thunderbirds, 93-54 and 68-53, Nov. 15-16.
- Fraser Valley enters the weekend with a 5-1 record on the women's side after pair of wins over Thompson Rivers, while the men's side sits at 3-3 after splitting the series with the WolfPack.
- Diego Maffia enters the week as the reigning Canada West Player of the Week, and also leading the Vikes and sitting second in the conference with a 23.0 points per game average. Maffia is now six points away from tying the Vikes' all-time league scoring record, currently held by Spencer McKay (1,657 points).
- Abigail Becker leads the Vikes with a 12.3Â points per game average, and leads the team and is tied for third in the conference with an 8.7 rebounds per game average.
