FROM THE PITCH – Tracy David
"We faced the defending national champions. I thought we started ok, then we allowed the early goal and that kind of woke us up. I thought we played ok for about 10 minutes after that, then we kind of lost the draw there. We weren't defending well, we weren't pressing well. If you don't get your press right against UBC, then they're going to find spaces, and that's exactly what happened to us. We came out and held them a bit in the second half, I thought the second half was good. We saw some things to work on ahead of Sunday."
WORTH NOTING
- Ruby Nicholas led the Vikes with two shots, putting one on goal.
- Raina Hagel and Tess Vande Vegte also added shots on target for Victoria.
- UBC out-shot the Vikes 12-3, and 7-3 in shots on goal.
- The Vikes move to 1-1-0 on the year, while UBC starts their year at 1-0-0.
