Vancouver, B.C. – The University of Victoria swimming teams picked up five wins in its first competition of 2025 at the University of British Columbia's Winter Warm-Up long course meet, Jan. 18 at the UBC Aquatic Centre.

Ogilvie leads Vikes with pair of wins, school record

• Keir Ogilvie posted a pair of wins for the Vikes at the UBC Winter Warm-Up, taking first in the men's 200 free (1:54.59) and 100 fly (54.50).
• Ogilvie's time of 54.50 in the 100 fly set a new Vikes long course record.

Vikes post top finishes in the 400 IM

• Erin Epp won the women's 400 IM with a time of 5:05.94.
• Alex Lalonde took second in the men's 400 IM, clocking in at 4:53.14.

Gagne, Edwards sweep 800 Free titles

• Ayiana Gagne took the top spot in the women's 800 free with a time of 9:17.59. Lydia James-Brennan finished second at 9:26.36.
• Drew Edwards rounded out the wins for Victoria, taking first in the men's 800 free at 8:37.09.

Three Vikes finish in top five of women's 200 Fly

• Victoria claimed three of the top five finishes in the women's 200 fly, with Isabella Brunoro taking second at 2:22.11, Lydia James-Brennan finishing fourth at 2:26.83, and Georgia Romstead placing fifth at 2:27.43.

Vikes post strong finishes in the 400 Free

• On the men's side, Elijah Agostinelli Stull and William Risk finished in podium positions in the 400 free, with Agostinelli Stull taking second with a time of 4:06.78 and Risk finishing in 4:10.34 for third place.
• Corah Wilson clocked in at 4:33.04 in the women's race to finish in third.
