Calgary, AB – The University of Victoria women's soccer team travelled to Calgary and took on the University of Calgary in the quarterfinals of the Canada West Championships. The Vikes fell 1-0 to the Dinos in a low-scoring affair.
Scoreless first half
- The Vikes and the Dinos headed to the locker rooms tied 0-0 after the first half of play. The Vikes fought for scoring opportunities, but when they got the ball in the box were unable to get a dangerous shot on net.
Dinos scored the game's lone goal
- The scoreless tie dragged on late into the second half until the Dinos were awarded a free kick. The Dinos' kick was crossed into the box, and it found a teammate who headed it past the Vikes' keeper.
The Vikes ended the regular season with a 5-5-4 record and fought hard before this first-round exit at the hands of the Dinos.
